Archana Handa leads the Corporate Communications function for globalisation, one of Cisco’s top 5 Company priorities. Under her leadership, the function was founded in August 2008. A member of Cisco’s Globalisation Executive Board, Archana helps evalengize Cisco’s globalisation strategy across the company and is based at the Globalisation Centre East, the company’s second headquarters located in Bangalore, India.
In her global role, in addition to investor relations, public and media relations, industry analysts relations, employee and executive communications, Archana is also responsible for their corporate social responsibility efforts including Community Relations and employee volunteerism.
Prior to joining Cisco Systems, Archana was responsible for corporate communications at GE in various leadership roles like setting up and leading the communications function at the John F. Welch Technology Centre in Bangalore (India); leading communication initiatives in Diversity, Corporate Citizenship and Sales Communication during a one year special assignment at GE’s Corporate Headquarters; and more recently in leading the communications function for GE Money India. Before GE, Archana has spent more than a decade across organisations like Sun Microsystems , Aztec Software, Contract Advertising and The Times of India.
